Don't Panic

Don't Freak Out

I must admit this week has been really challenging for me especially keeping my weight down.
Due to several reason that comes with life
First its been really Stressful, although I'm not a stress eater my body like retains water.
Second, I love being outdoors to get in my physical activities.
to feel the air on my face to smell the morning dew on the grass and see the sun going down in the late afternoon.
Although, the weather hasn't been in my favor in several weeks giving me one day each week.

Now I'm bored about being at home and I just don't like the gym.

I step on the scale and it read I had gain five pounds. I freaked out because for one I knew that I haven't been doing what I usually do and I really haven't dug in hard enough because of the weather.

I want to encourage you DON'T FREAK OUT!, although it isn't going just like you planned or it wasn't the same way you lost the first twenty-five to fifty pounds last year.

It is always good practice to change the way you do things in your life especially in weight lose.

I'm now challenging myself to another lifestyle

I'm going to take up cycling because when I started the weight lose journey I was reminded about how I felt when I took a bicycle ride and I thought that was really hard so on next week I will start riding my bicycle and we are going to see those results for a year.
I will keep you posted on what I shall be in the new challenge

Staying True to Yourself March 2017

True to Your Commitment

I'm still making progress, how about you?

I wasn't aware that I was still making progress until this week.
I wasn't aware until I tried on a outfit that was tucked away in the back of my closet.
I had No idea that I could possibly wear this outfit because in the past it was tight on my arms.
Once, I tried it on and the arms were so loose on me I went again to the tape measure to see how many inches I had lost.

For the sake of this post I'm now a complete 16 in most of my clothing I  No longer need the plus size 16W because even my hips and thighs have shrank.
I'm so excited because I thought I had lost the battle but I'm winning the War!

Honestly, I hadn't moved as much because I have been sick or under the weather but I know that now that I'm feeling better I must stay true to my commitment as living a healthier lifestyle.

Just Keep Moving although you can't see the result at that moment but the Reward is Great!

The Stress

STRESS

Stress comes in so many forms into our lives such as our jobs are a stressful due to deadlines.

Most of All I found that I use to EAT!

I've heard that it is called comfort foods! I don't know if that is true or not but my truth is that I found myself eating Pistachio Almond ice cream when I felt lonely or sorrowful about something.

Lots of Pasta's was also a common food for my diet!

I Now do the opposite! I walk and do other constructive and positive things such as go over and sit with elderly people and listen to them talk about the good ole days and offer a helping hand or some assistance.
Visit the Sick and offer to just listen and maybe we would have a word of Prayer.
Walk the Track but not stop at a fast food restaurant to feed my stress.

Remember to Eat Healthy Make Good Choices concerning your Health!

Encouraging Yourself

ENCOURAGING YOURSELF

I realize their are a lot of people cheering for me and I'm trying hard to embrace the change.
I can't see what everyone else see's when they look at me!
and I look at myself!

I'm having to encourage myself!

I'm really hard on myself, I have learned through this weight lose journey, that I can't wait on anyone but myself.

There are plenty of people that have started with me but they gave up and Quit!
I can't seem to give up on something that is going to benefit me in the end!
I LOVE ME!

I CAN DO THIS! I WILL FINISH WHAT I STARTED!

So, if you find yourself where you can't seem to get moving because you started with a group of peers or family and they have stopped!

Embrace the change 2016

Embrace the Change

I also notice that certain pasta's made me drowsy and very sleepy, later to realize that it wasn't a whole food and it had side effects for me.

Are you noticing your side effects? are you sluggish, tired maybe you're moody check to see if your foods contain any of these items.

1. Refined Carbohydrates
2. Sugar
3. Artificial Sweeteners
4. Trans Fats
5. Processed Foods

I'm beginning to find that a lot of things I use to do I can't really do them anymore. Certain foods with MSG's make me sick to my stomach. It will be different for each individual but continue to watch.

Walking and eating the right portion sizes is helping me to melt down to the proper size for my height and its keeping me heart healthy!

I Encourage you to keep moving and eating the healthy things and always watch for the side effects of your food!

The WINNING LIFE belongs to You!

Realizing the Mind is Dangerous

Realizing the MIND is Dangerous

My mind had to be TRANSFORMED!

I overcame by trusting myself more with people that I could surround myself with to be a support group for me! .................. Yes! ................... You need the support!
Find one someone that you can share your progress with from week to week or month to month!
They might not go with you but they can encourage you!

Although, we think that we will not give up but your mind will tell your body to QUIT! GIVE IT UP! because you are doing something that it hasn't done in years ........................MOVING YOUR BODY!

Continue to focus on  your portion sizes you are consuming and also how many soda's you are drinking instead of water consumption and began to start and keep A DAILY JOURNAL of your eating habits. If you see it on paper or on an app you will began to acknowledge what is wrong and your mind will start taking responsibility of your actions.

Walking and moving your body is a must!  Try to set a limit to 5,000 steps a day and increase it until you are up to 10,000 and more a day it does work!

YOU CAN OVERCOME THE BATTLE OF YOUR MIND

I'm going to continue not just because I like the results but because its the right thing to do!
I encourage  you to come join me in

Time to move 2017

Time to Move

Everyone wants to know how I go from being 315 pounds to my current weight!
Today, I will share with you my secret!
You Ready!
I started MOVING!!
That is right! I started moving my body, my feet and my mind forward.
Believe it or not when I started I couldn't walk to the end of my driveway with out giving out!
I begin moving my feet and walking, rain, or shine.
I did that everyday for one whole week.
The second week, I walked to the short end of the street I lived on. I walked it everyday until I moved to the whole street and I know you get the picture.
It's not how FAST you get to the finish line just long as you
MAKE IT!
I remember sitting down and feeling kinda down on myself and I thought about quitting, but I realized that it didn't take me a few months to gain this weight it took years. Unfortunately, its not going to take a few weeks or even months to drop this weight it is going to take a year or two.
I encourage you to do what you can do and keep moving and pushing forward.

It's about PROGRESS!
It's about moving FORWARD!
Changing Your Mind about Yourself!
You Can Make it to Your Personal Finish Line!
Remember it's not how fast it's about
MOVING AND KEEP MOVING!

One of my Favorite Dishes

Favorite Foods

When thinking of eating correctly some struggle with choices! Well Struggle NO MORE! You can eat what you want and still loose and maintain your weight, but their is something more you must do and we will start that on next week.

Here is one of my most favorite foods I cook that I love and I share it with you today! Remember to eat modestly! It is all about Modest Eating Habits! Controlling your Portion Sizes.
Here is the rest of this recipe:
minutes stirring to keep from sticking to pan. add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for 20 - 25 minutes. Makes about 8 servings. Only 4G net carbs per serving.

Its really good and I'm not watching carbs just making healthy choices in eating!

Moderation

MODERATION

This Journey begins with a Moderation!

I developed a Relationship with Jesus Christ and He gave me a guide to help me to loose weight!
I know some don't believe but I believe!

I read the scripture that says, "Lay aside Every Weight and the Sin that Easily beset us and Let Us Run with Patience the Race that has been set before us.  (Hebrews 12:1)

I began my moderation by eating smaller portion meals and watching my calorie in take.
I stopped drink soda on a daily and incorporated more water into my diet.

These few changes helped me to began The Winning Life!
